Pakal Nakshatrangal - Class Movie
As usual Mohanlal done his role pretty well as Sidharthan. His amazing body-languages made the character a perfect one with all the emotions. Suresh Gopi as doctor Dr.Vaidyanathan and Anoop Menon as Adhi, performed well.
The musics are also good in this movie. The song by Hariharan is pretty good. Music by Shahabaz Aman is great. Rajeev Nath utilised maximum from all the actors and the script.
The movie is a brilliant effort and definitely recommended for all film lovers, if you miss the film you are going to lose the great Malayalam class film.

Kurukshetra – Patriotic Success
About the film, First half shows the soldiers life at the camp and their sadness and happiness. First half also shows the reason for the Kargil War. The introduction of Mohanlal in this film is nice.
But the second half the highlight of the film is excellent. Mohanlal has done an excellent job and all other actor also. Other important role is done by Siddique, great performance. The team got an excellent result for their hard work.
The songs are excellent. The title song by Kailash Kher is great. All other songs are also great they have visualized in correct position and times. I bet, definitely you will say “Bharath Mathaa Ki Jai” in the climax scene.
Some of the war scene you may feel to make better, but you will forget all these small faults with the nationalistic performance of the film. Don’t try to compare this film with “Keerthichakra”. Keerthichakra was an Army operation film. But this is a war film.
Anyway the film is excellent and all the actors performed well except Bineesh Kodiyeri. In most of the scenes he is not getting the acting. You feel this right once you see the film. Definitely going to be super hit,(more than that).
Bharath Mathaa ki Jai!!!!!

MACTA lashes out at Mohanlal
Speaking to the Press after the Sunday's meeting, MACTA general secretary director Vinayan has no inhibitions to ask the superstar to concentrate on issues in AMMA than to take sides in the present disputes. “He may be a superstar in films and it is best that he keeps that to the films”,
Vinayan was more upset on Lal, as the later said that MACTA union does not have affiliation with any national organization.
Before the Press meeting, the faction in MACTA led by Vinayan staged a well- attended rally of his followers, as a show of strength.
Taking the verbal assault in the right spirits, Super star Mohanlal countered that if Vinayan finds him as ill mannered, then it will be more worthwhile for him to consider the creation of his own federation, which have all the members who speaks well and behave well .

Innathe Chintha Vishayam - Movie Preview
The movie produced by Lal's Man Friday Antony Perumbavoor in the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas will see the teaming up of Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine yet again. The movie scripted by Sathyan himself will display as usual, the strengths of the director in harvesting the best from his crew, while handling subjects that are of undeniable interests for Keralites.
'It is easy to break relationships, but it is a tougher task to keep them going’ seems to be the message that the director is trying to put forward through the film. The protagonist of the movie Gopakumar, a garment exporter also believes much in this theory. He is presently having a problem with Adv Treesa, who is planning to throw out his garment stuff from the upstairs of her house. Gopakumar, on the other hand has got legal support in the matter, as he has paid rental advances for the occupancy to Teresa’s husband Dr Muraleedharan. Gopakumar was planning to keep the place as a go down and an office for his exporting firm. But the real problem was that Treesa and Muraleedharan were at the breaking point of their marriage and so neither of them will consider this issue, anything lighter than a big failure amidst their fierce showdowns.
Going along with the basic theme in the backdrop of increasing divorces in the state, 'Innathe Chintha Vishayam' covers the disturbances in the married life of three couples whom Gopakumar meet at different points of time. The film goes on to show how Gopakumar along with his assistant Emmanuel and Kamala tries to bring some happiness in the lives of three women who have split with their husbands over trivial matters, by sorting out their marital discords, which become more and more complicated as they try to tighten up loose ends.
Playing Gopamar with ease is Mohanlal, while Innocent is Emmanuel. Meera Jasmine, the heroine of the movie is Kamala who has just passed out from textile designing course and is assisting Gopakumar in his business Mukesh is Dr Muralidharan while Suganya plays Adv. Treesa. The film also features Asokhan, Vijayaraghavan, Mohini, Muthumani, Kripa, Mamukoya and baby Nivedhitha in important roles.
The songs of the movie by Ilayaraja - Gireesh Puthencherry team are already out and a couple of songs like 'Kasthoori Pottum' and ‘Kando Kando' are already in the charts.
Azhagappan cranks the camera once again for a Sathyan after the hit 'Rasathanthram' while Rajagopal handles the editing. Santhosh Raman is the art director while Saibabu is in charge of the costumes. The film which was shot at Kochy, Kambam and Theni will be distributed by Central pictures.
‘Innathe Chintha Vishayam' will make a grand release on April 11, for this Vishu.

‘Aakashagopuram' release shifted
According to the makers, the film will now be premiered at Oslo, Norway in a month, after which the release date in Kerala will be finalized. Recently the birth centenary celebration of Ibson was held with much grandeur at Oslo, which made news all around the world. And so the makers of the film seem to be in the notion that any thing associated with Ibsen will sell big in Norway.
Grapevines are also that the shift of release is also due to the fact that Lal is going through one of the toughest stages of his career with six continuous flops.
‘Aakashagopuram’, being an offbeat film will not be a surprise fare at the box office and so Lal is in the mood to avoid listing another of his film in the continuous flop parade. So according to the latest reports, the movie will only see the light, once Mohanlal's latest movie for this Vishu 'Innathe Chinthavishasyam' with ace director Sathyan Anthikkad, make a better run at the release entres.

Mohanlal and Mukesh in 'Chayamukhy’- Drama Based On "Mahabharatham"

The play moves back and forth between the present and the time of the Mahabharata, as the mirror gets exchanged to various characters who realizes what their hearts love most, rather than what their minds asked them to believe.

Mohanlal - Sathyan film for April 11
The new movie by Sathyan Anthikkad, is the most eagerly awaited one for the millions of fans of Mohanlal, as they are sure the director and his themes will definitely provide a lot of support to Lal in delivering a big hit, in these difficult days of his career. The new film being made by the Aashirwad Cinemas, have Mohanlal as a garment manufacturer, Gopakumar, who becomes a advisor to three women who are going through difficult marriages. The characters played by Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine who are in love, become a part of the lives of these three ladies played by Suganya, Mohini and Muthumani.

Akasha Gopuram - Movie Preview
‘Aakasha Gopuram’, set in an imaginary town tells the story of Albert Samson (Mohanlal), a middle-aged architect who is ready to sacrifice anything for art. Though, he has pulled up his way to fame, his determination only on his career success for fended Samson and his family from leading a meaningful life.
Samson in his early years has struggled much to reach up to his ambitions. Then, he worked with his employer Abraham Thomas, who supported him in his endeavors. Samson started building churches and after a while, easily climbed lanes of glory, when he attempted building villas. He even exploited Abraham, his former employer, to reach the top, which in turn has made the later, his assistant. Samson managed to marry Alice, the daughter of a British Duke but with the death of her parents and her children, she ceased sympathizing with Samson and started leading a frustrated life. Samson also very soon realized that just like his own life, not every thing was good in the houses that he had built, along the years. Thomas, now dying, wanted his son Alex to have more independence in the firm but Samson fearing the caliber of the younger generation of architects refuses to allow Alex either to design original houses or to leave the firm.
Samson's life takes a new turn as Hilda Varghese, a spirited young woman who has idolized Samson for years, comes up to claim the ‘kingdom' that Samson has offered her when she was just a girl of twelve. This promise was made when Samson built a large church in her hometown, ten years before and climbed to the top of its tower during its dedication ceremony. And now Hilda sincerely has come to collect her kingdom. To fulfill her wish and for making a perfect architecture for self satisfaction, Samson begins to built a tower -a big one, poised to reach the sky - 'Aakashagopuram'.
'Aakashagopuram' also has a rare distinction that it is one of the few international co-productions made in Malayalam. National and international award winning director K P Kumaran, returns to big screen after a gap of 6 year with the film.
“I had been trying to do this film for the last ten years. I did even plan the film against an Indian milieu, to be shot at Simla, Ooty and Moonar , but it never materialized. It was then the British company under Taizoon F. Khorakkiwala came forward to support the production. It was really a dream come true for me'', says Kumaran whose famous filmography includes Thotram, Athithi, Neram Pularumbol, Rugmini and Kattile Pattu among others. ‘Master Builder’ is a powerful psychological play written by Ibsen in his later years. The play even has some surrealistic elements. “I have tried to retain the basic character of the play, and the film is an adaptation of the play”, adds the renowned director.
Newcomer Nithya makes her debut performance as Hilda. Shweta Menon plays Alice while late Bharath Gopi plays Abraham Thomas in the film. Also in the cast are Sreenivasan, Manoj K Jayan and Geethu Mohandas in supporting roles.
The best of talent from India and UK have come together to create this engaging classic. The movie is shot entirely in various locations in UK by cinematographer Santosh C Thundiyil (Krish, Pinjar, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai fame). Sabu Cyril is the production designer of the film while B Ajith Kumar does the editing.
One of the major highlights of the film is the music of John Altman, an Emmy award winning British composer (Goldeneye, Shall we Dance.). He has composed a song I'm black.... for the film which is beautifully choreographed and picturised on Mohanlal and Shwetha by Sandeep Soparkar.
Produced in the banner of Medient international limited, 'Akasha Gopuram' will now grace the theatres by the third week of March.
Mohanlal and Lohithadas Team Again
Lohithadas has tentatively announced the title of the movie as 'Bheeshmar'- the same title in which he had announced another Mammootty starrer , an year back. Johny Sagariga is planning to produce this movie, which is in its final discussions.

College Kumaran Review - Good Entertainer!
A very good entertainer from our Lalettan. From the first 2 days the report shows that the movies is going to be a super hit of the year 2008. You can enjoy 2.45 hr wihout boring.
The film is a rollicking ride through the life of Kumaran alias Captin Sreekumar, an ex military officer, who is presently running the campus canteen of Mahatma College.
Spending his days entirely for and with the students Kumaran popularly called as Kumarettan, is the life and soul of the campus. Kumaran is the only person who can influence the students of this college to any extent. He is like a gang leader who is always in front to support and raise the needs of students, be it the agitation demanding the recognition of courses before the Secretariat or the strike against Prof Vikraman (Rizabava) who runs special tuition in the time of college classes. Even the principal Narendranath (Janaardhanan) and manager Shivaraman Nair(Nedumudi Venu) turns to him, whenever the students starts fights on petty issues and politically targeted strikes.
Kumaran's father Karunakaran Nair and his sister died in a fire that happened in the canteen ten years back , and there after Kumaran left the army to be with the students and the college, which he maintains like his own home. But there were many who hated Kumaran and his freehand in the college administration. The spearhead among them was Sethunathan, the educational minister, and the chieftain of all illegal business activities related to education. A former chairman of the college, he raved to buy the college from the manager Shivaraman by hook or crook. And for this he hatched many plans which get spoiled always by the timely intrusion of Kumaran. Madhavi (Vimala Raman), the college's English professor, was another person who felt that Kumaran is the major reason behind the students getting pampered and spoiled. But very soon the tables are expected to turn against Kumaran as he get enmeshed in a bigger trap, Will Kumaran be able to survive the commotion? Can he save the college from Sethunath? See the film for the answers.
Also the film got nice songs. The song starting "Kanakuyil.." is already got in top list.
Definitely a good entertainer of the year.
