‘Aakashagopuram' release shifted

Mohanlal's off beat movie with director K P Kumaran 'Aakashagopuram' based on the world famous Norwegian playwright Henrick Ibsen's 'Master Builder' has shifted its release, once again. The film which has been waiting for a theatrical release for more than a couple of months was scheduled for a premier in Kerala, on this 20.

According to the makers, the film will now be premiered at Oslo, Norway in a month, after which the release date in Kerala will be finalized. Recently the birth centenary celebration of Ibson was held with much grandeur at Oslo, which made news all around the world. And so the makers of the film seem to be in the notion that any thing associated with Ibsen will sell big in Norway.

Grapevines are also that the shift of release is also due to the fact that Lal is going through one of the toughest stages of his career with six continuous flops.

‘Aakashagopuram’, being an offbeat film will not be a surprise fare at the box office and so Lal is in the mood to avoid listing another of his film in the continuous flop parade. So according to the latest reports, the movie will only see the light, once Mohanlal's latest movie for this Vishu 'Innathe Chinthavishasyam' with ace director Sathyan Anthikkad, make a better run at the release entres.

Both the super stars of Malayalam, Mammootty and Mohanlal had two big hits in 'Mayavi' and 'Hello' of 2007. Both the super stars immediately agreed to the bright idea when they heard about the project. And now super hit script writers Rafi-Mecartin have started with the outlines of the plot which will be directed by Shafi-the only director who had two big super hits in 2007.
