Mohanlal - Blessy - "Kanal"

Finally Blessy announced his next project's name with Mohanlal as "Kanal". This is his 2nd movie with Mohanlal, the first one was "Thanmatra" which bagged lots of awards. The shooting will start on Feb 10th. The movie will be shot at Marayur, Coimbatore and Ernakulam. The movie will feature Tamil actress Bhoomika in female lead role. Lakshmi Gopalaswami is also doing an important character in this film.

Love in Singapore - Test your Patience

The first megastar release of the year 2009 "Love in Singapore" is started to sink in box office like Titanic. Can you believe this film is by Rafi-Mecartin? Never and ever expected a movie like this from the director duo. Very poor script and bad comedies, some statues like characters..I dont know how to explain about this film. This is the first time am writing about a Mammooty film here in my blog. There is nothng to say about the movie. A real time "Time Killer". If you want to hate Mammootty you can watch the movie without any doubt.

Mohanlal with M Padmakumar

M Padmakumar, the director of the malayalam film "Parunthu" announced his next project with Mohanlal. The movie titled "Shikar-The Hunt", produced by Tetco Rajagopal and will be scripted by S Sureshbabu. Music section is handling by Gireesh Puthencheery and M Jayachandran.

"Kurukshetra" - Celebrates 100 days of success

Kurukshetra, Mohanlal and Major Ravi team's 2nd film successfully completed 100days. The team celebrated the success and on the same occasion the "Moser Baer" released the home video of the movie. Mohanlal recieved the first copy and also the trophy of success.

Mohanlal gave date to the young talented director "Jayasurya" to do a film. The title of the movie is not decided yet. But in this film Mohanlal playing the character of "Angel John". This will be a comedy film, will be produced by K K Narayandas in the banner of "Creative teams".Music will be by Ousepachan.

‘Yugapurushan' to start on Jan 21

'Yugapurushan' based on the life of social reformer Sreenarayanaguru, by famous director 'R Sukumaran' will start shooting on 21st of January 09. Mohanlal and Mammootty are acting together in this film. As there was news that Mammootty is not going to do the film and the team are looking for other actor to do that role. But finally Mammooty has finalised for the film but not for the role(role of ) that the team has decided firstly but for the role of K C Kuttan, a contemporary activist of guru's period who stood by the principles and teachings of Gurudevan in his entire life.As decided earlier Mohanlal doing the role of Swami Vivekanandan. The role of "Ayyankali" is by Babu Anotny. Navya Nair doing the lead female role as Savithri Antharjanam.

After "Onnaman" Mohanlal and his son Pranav are acting together in the movie "Sagar Alias Jacky Reloaded", directed by Amal Neerad. One conbination shot is already shooted in Dubai. The sequence are said to be one of the highlight of the movie. We have seen other Father- Son combination like Jayaram-Kalidasan, Sreenivasan-Vineeth, but as far as Malayalees concerned this Mohanlal-Pranav combination is really big.

Mohanlal Bags Ujala-Asianet Best Actor Film Award

Mohanlal bagged Ujala-Asianet film award 2009 for best actor in Malayalam for the movie "Madamby". Gopika got best actress award for the movie "Veruthe Oru Bharya". The awards, comprising a purse and statuette, will be presented on January 17. Great singer K.J. Yesudas won the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his overall contribution to the Malayalam Film. Film "Kurukshetra" got special award for patriotic film.

Priyadarshan - Mohanlal Team

The ever green hit makers Mohanlal and Priyadarshan are planning to team up to give another mega hit to Malayalam film Industry. The team's last project was "Kilichundan Mambazham". But unfortunately the film couldnt make any movement in Mollywood. In an interview Priyan told, he is palnning to make a big come back to Mollywood. Currently he is busy with his Hindi Projects. May be this year last the super duo will join together. Other details are not decided about the film. Lets hope for the best!!.

Mohanlal - Kamal Hassan

The two ultimate stars Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan are going to join another project, the remake of the famous Hindi film. "A Wednesday", featured Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher. The story is based on a cop who is getting a call from an anonymous person about bombs being planted in different parts of the city. The work of the movie will start after the completion of the project 'Thalaivan Irukindran'. Firstly the role was decidedd to do Mammooty but now its confirmed that Mohanlal is doing the role.
