'Grandmaster' bags clean 'U'

Mohanlal starrer Malayalam film Grandmaster was censored today 25th April in Trivandrum and bagged a clean 'U" certificate from the censor board. The movie is all set for a world wide release on May 3rd.

'Grandmaster' stars Mohanlal, Narain, Anoop Menon, Jagathy Sree Kumar, Priyamani, Roma and several other. This will be an entertaining movie from the team.

'Spirit' - Ranjith, Mohanlal and Prakash Raj

The three big names in the film industry is coming up together for the new movie 'Spirit', directed and scripted by Ranjith with Mohanlal in the lead and Prakash Raj as villain.

Mohanlal and Ranjith team's last film was Rock N Roll, and that was not a big deal for the team. But this time Ranjith is coming with a different story line titled 'Spirit'. Hope this will make another magic and will please all the viewers.

Mohanlal and Kavya bagged Mathrubhumi - Kalyan Silks film awards

Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan bagged the  Mathrubhumi - Kalyan Silks film awards for best actor and best actress. Blessy's movie 'Pranayam' selected as best movie and Ranjith as best director for his movie 'Indian Rupee'.

Mohanlal bagged the best actor for his performance in 'Pranayam' and Kavya for her performance in 'Gadhama' directed by Kamal.

One of the most popular Gallup Poll awards of Kerala, TTK Prestige-Vanitha Awards announced Mohanlal as best actor for his outstanding performance in 'Pranayam' and Kavya Madhavan ans best actress for the performance in 'Gadhama'. Indian Rupee named as the best film and Ashiq Abu as the best director for hismovie 'Salt N Pepper'.

Again its time for Mohanlal Vs Mammootty

Mohanlal's Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum and Mammootty's 'Venicile Vyapari' will release on 16th December 2011. Its earlier declared that Mohanlal's 'Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum' would release on 16th Dec and 'Venicile Vyapari'  on Dec 23rd.

However now everything is cleared and both the films are going to hit together.  We can expect a tough competition of Big Ms. Get ready folks!!!!!

Snehaveedu - Could be better

The most awaited Mohanlal - Sathyan movie 'Snehaveedu' got released on 30th of Sept. The movie is a usual Sathyan Anthikkadu type movie. About the movie, entertaining first half and dragging second half. 

The first half is filled with Mother - Son relationships, and some comedy sequences. You will enjoy the first half. Before reaching to the interval, there comes the turning point of the story. This will make you more expectations about the second half. 

About the second half, carrying the expectation from the first half to the second half you will feel a bit disappointment. Sometimes you may feel the movie is dragging to reach the climax. Some unnecessary scenes and a unacceptable climax will sometimes make you more disappointment than satisfaction. 

The main positives are Mohanlal, Sheela, songs and the location. Other supporting actors did their role well and the new guy also did a good job. 

The main negative is that the lack of strong script, at least the climax can be a convincing one. But the writer made a wrong selection of climax. 

The family audience will pick the movie to a hit/super hit. And yes producer Antony Perubmavoor also going to have a great marketing job here. 

All in all I felt its an average movie (only my personal opinion). But the movie is getting a good mouth publicity and picking up well. Hope this will be a super hit in Mollywood and the first from Mohanlal's solo in this year. 

'Snehaveedu' for this 30th

Mohanlal's 300th movie 'Snehaveedu' directed by Sathyan Anthikkadu, will hit more than 90 theaters on 30th of September. This is the 51st film of Sathyan Anthikkadu. As usual this Sathyan movie also tells the story of a common man. First time Biju Menon doing a role in Sathyan Anthikkadu movie. He is doing the role of a police officer who is also a childhood friend of Mohanlal's character. Padamapriya is the heroine.

Casanova final schedule at Bangok

The final schedule of the Mohanlal starrer 'Casanovva' started at Bangkok. Casanova, the biggest movie in Mollywood in terms of production, is a romantic thriller directed by Roshan Andrews and scripted by the successful duo Boby-Sanjay.

The movie changed its name from 'Casanova' to 'Casanovva', a small change in spelling due to numerological reason. The movie will cast leading actresses Shreya, Lashmi Rai, Roma, Sanjana and Dimple Rose. The movie will be a Christmas treat for the fans. Now its planned to get released on 16th of December.

Mohanlal escaped from an accident

It was on the location of 'Casanova'. The team was shooting a bike chase sequence and Mohanlal was acting without dupe. While the chase he fell down from the bike, but escaped without any injury. The bike falls down from 8 feet height. After taking rest for some hours, he continued his acting to complete the action scenes.

Mohanlal with Director Revathy

Revathy S Varma, who directed the Tamil film June R, with Jyothika in the leadm is now planning to debut in Malayalam film industry with a Mohanlal flick titled 'Mad Dad'. The story will be the relationship with Dad and her daughter.

Shwetha Menon, Archana Kavi, Salim Kumar and Harisree Ashokan are also starring in the movie. Its heard that a young Mollywood hero also playing an important role in this film. But the name is not yet confirmed.

Currently Mohanlal is very busy and is working on multiple projects at a time. He is currently working on Priyadarshan’s  'Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum' and Sathyan's movie 'Snehaveedu'

UTV Productions to Mollywood

The big Bollywood production group UTV is all set to enter Mollywood with a Mohanlal flick. The movie will be directed and scripted by B Unnikrishanan, who had already made a big hit with Mohanlal through the movie 'Madambi'. The movie will feature 3 heroines of Malayalam.

Samudrakani with Mohanlal

After Shikkar, they became good friends and Mohanlal had appreciated Samudrakkani many times for his performance in Shikkar. Mohanlal also made his interest to act in Samudrakkani's movie.

Now its the time, Samudrakkani offered him a different role in his first Malayalam venture. Mohanlal is giving high priority to the shooting of this film and it will start from November. 

Mohanlal in 'Veeraputhran'

'Veeraputhran', new movie by P T kunjumuhammed, will cast Mohanlal as a history researcher. The movie will be told as the story narrated by freedom fighter  Abdulrahiman Shaib's wife Kunju Beevathu to the researcher. Young actor Naren will be doing the title role and Raima Sen as his wife Beevathu. Mohanlal will join the set in the month of September.
