Surya Awards for Mohanlal and Kavya

Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan bagged the Surya Awards 2012 for best actor and actress. The film 'Pranayam' got the best movie award and Renjith got the best director award for his movie 'Indian Rupee'. The award is the joint venture of Surya TV and Kerala Film Producers Association.

Anoop Menon and Ramya Nambeesan were selected as second best actor and actress. The popular awards for best film, best actor and actress went to Urumi', Prithviraj and Shwetha Menon respectively. Aashiq Abu is the popular director for 'Salt and Pepper'. The awards will be given away in a colourful function organised at Kochy on the 15th of April.

'Spirit' - Ranjith, Mohanlal and Prakash Raj

The three big names in the film industry is coming up together for the new movie 'Spirit', directed and scripted by Ranjith with Mohanlal in the lead and Prakash Raj as villain.

Mohanlal and Ranjith team's last film was Rock N Roll, and that was not a big deal for the team. But this time Ranjith is coming with a different story line titled 'Spirit'. Hope this will make another magic and will please all the viewers.

Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan bagged the  Mathrubhumi - Kalyan Silks film awards for best actor and best actress. Blessy's movie 'Pranayam' selected as best movie and Ranjith as best director for his movie 'Indian Rupee'.

Mohanlal bagged the best actor for his performance in 'Pranayam' and Kavya for her performance in 'Gadhama' directed by Kamal.
